In these times of Holy Disruption, it is vital to find the stillness, or Shuniya within. The most effective practice to achieve this vibration, is meditation. Meditation is the practice, the art, the science of being serene and alert in the present moment. It is be-ing, rather than do-ing or being engaged in the struggle to change or become. Meditation is the ultimate experience of everything and nothing simultaneously. In the Meditate module, participants will have the opportunity to learn and participate in some different meditation and mindfulness practices for inner awareness, greater well-being, relaxation and stress reduction. Practices include sitting in silence, sound vibrations, using mantras/chants and mudras.
Class 1: Now is Now
The more moments we can slow down and deepen our daily experiences, the richer our experience of living and knowing ourselves is. In this class, the concept of mindfulness is introduced, exercises to get the body ready for meditation are done & silent stillness meditation is practiced, with guidance and support.
Class 2: Sacred Sound Current
Meditate on cosmic sound and experience the vibrations of the cosmos in this class. Using sound as the vehicle for meditation, the first part of the class will use the practice of mantra. Mantra is the applied use of sound to impact consciousness. In the second part of the class, participants will bathe in healing vibrations of the gong, played by Manjot Singh Khalsa.
Class 3: Kundalini Yoga Meditations
This class is made up of three different Kundalini Yoga 11 minute meditations with a focus on moving from a state of stress to an experience of vitality. They are: Invoking a meditative state; Act don’t react and Shabd Kriya. These practices include meditation, mudra, pranayama and mantra.
